Our History

In October 1977 Andy Sr. and his wife Rose Ann opened the doors to what has become the most successful flooring retailer in the New England area. Back in 1977, AJ Rose started as your typical small Mom & Pop Floor Covering store, selling only carpet, and struggling day by day to grow. It was a typical American small business striving to make it to the next day. Over the last 30+ years, the company has expanded into every major type of floor covering with two convenient Massachusetts locations in Burlington and Natick. AJ Rose is now proud to say that we are the largest Floor Covering only chain in New England.

Recently AJ Rose has seen the management shift from Andy Sr. to his two sons, John and AJ Jr. Many changes have taken place at AJ Rose in recent years including a complete renovation of the Burlington and Natick showrooms. The new design of the Natick showroom is one of a kind, and the model example for the next generation of floor covering showrooms. Stop in for yourself, and you will experience the overwhelming ease of shopping that our new showroom brings to the industry. "It takes all the confusion out of floor covering shopping" said John. The Burlington showroom completed its extensive renovation and overhaul in the spring of 2007. With over 15,000 square feet of showroom and warehouse, shoppers are bound to find the perfect product and style to meet their needs and their budget. The Burlington store has also added a brand new designer section featuring the best products the industry has to offer such as Karastan, Ralph Lauren, Couristan, and Nourison.

In the summer of 2007, AJ Rose Carpets & Flooring launched its newest product offering, Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning.
